BlackBox styles / themes

This section is a repository of my own original styles / themes for the Blackbox window manager.

I use Blackbox every day and I consider a nice display style very important. I've started making my own styles during the time I was using 0.62.1 and I've started releasing them for 0.65.0. Please use the links here to find the styles, or read the rest of this page for some useful info.

Blackbox styles / themes

Please note that 0.70+ styles are not compatible with earlier versions of Blackbox, due to some style syntax modifications which appeared in 0.70. So you cannot use 0.70+ styles with 0.65- Blackbox installations. But it's OK the other way around, because 0.70+ Blackbox versions include compatibility adapters which will adjust older styles on the fly.

Other style repositories

There is a good collection of style repository links on the Blackbox website. It's a wiki, so you can expect it to be fairly up to date.

Freshmeat is probably the best style repository out there, with hundreds of styles and screenshots. This is because it incorporated the now-defunct Themes.org.

Using Google to search for "blackbox styles" or "blackbox themes" can also wield interesting results.
